About Scan to PDF
A phone camera is a surprisingly capable document scanner when used with decent lighting and a flat surface. Point it straight down at the page, not at an angle. Good lighting — natural or a bright room light — makes a significant difference in text clarity.
After capturing, upload images in page order and review the preview before exporting. Rotate any sideways pages. Delete any duplicate captures where the first shot was blurry. The final PDF is ready for archiving, uploading, or sharing.
Scanned PDFs are image files — text inside them isn't searchable by default. If you need to search through the content or convert to Word later, run the finished PDF through OCR PDF to add a text layer. Everything stays in your browser throughout.
