About Repair PDF
A corrupted PDF usually came from one of three places: a download that didn't complete fully, a file that got damaged during transfer, or a document that was created by software that produced a non-standard output. Most readers give an unhelpful error message and nothing else. Repair PDF tries to reconstruct the document structure and recover as much content as possible.
All repairs happen in the browser. Even broken files that might contain sensitive data don't need to leave your device for the repair attempt.
If a document is severely damaged, the tool falls back to rendering pages as images and building a PDF from those renders. The text won't be selectable in that case, but the visual content of the original is preserved. Run OCR afterward if you need searchable text from a render-recovered document.
